Unity in Diversity Amongst Citizens of India

India is a diverse country where people from different religions, different views, different parts of the world, different economic background, different race and different cultures come together to live peacefully following the principle of ‘Unity in Diversity'. We all are diverse or we all are different. Similarly, all Indians are also different. All of us have a different point of views and all of us look at a thing differently. This is why India is diverse.

Due to these differences between people, arguments and conflicts are very common. Instead of calling it a fight one can say that it’s a general debate where people are trying to know about both sides of the coin or both aspects of a thing. In spite of these debates and conflicts, unity in diversity amongst citizens of India still exists.

This has been observed several times. Out of all these times, the most noticeable times were one in the past during the British raj and one in the present during this COVID 19 pandemic scenario.

All thanks to this principle of Unity in Diversity because of which we are currently living in an independent and democratic country and are able to breathe freely without any restrictions. If we all Indians wouldn’t have supported and helped each other and each other’s policies during the British raj or during the time of crisis, then it wouldn’t have been possible to be united or free from the British.

Now, talking about the present COVID 19 pandemic scenarios, several deaths are caused. All of our COVID fighters or COVID heroes who are putting their life at stake for us are also diverse in some or the other way. Still, they are working together for us, the common people. We as common people are following the COVID 19 prevention rules together for the benefit of each other. This is what is unity in diversity. If we keep practicing this idea of unity between each other then one day or the other this pandemic will also end forever!
