CBSE Awarded 37 Teachers, Principals On Teacher's Day

CBSE awarded a total of 37 teachers (from all sections - primary, secondary and senior secondary) and principals from their affiliated schools awards so as to mark their contribution in the field of education and talent grooming for the year 2017 - 2018. This was the first time that CBSE considered teachers award and considered online applications from the principals and teachers from their schools. The awards were this time screened by a national level screening committee. Before, a regional committee was set up to decide the teachers’ award.

The Chairperson of CBSE board Anita Karwal congratulated all the recipients of the teacher training awards. She said that world is quite thankful to all the teachers as they are the ones who build the nations, give shape to the societies and contribute to the future generation of a country. They are the guiding light of many students. The award consists of a merit certificate, a shawl and Rs. 50,000/- cash prize.

Here are the parameters on which the awards were given:

  • Academic qualifications
  • Research Work and Scholarly Contributions
  • Curriculum
  • Criteria like teacher's efficiency, contribution and remedial teaching
  • Student Development in terms of his achievements and awards
  • Face-to-face interaction

 

Many notable persons were present when the CBSE awarded the teachers like Smt Anita Karwal, CBSE Chairman, Rina Ray, Secretary and others from MHRD, KVS and NVS.
