Epinephrine for Children Suffering from Asthma

As per the researchers, Asthma is a common long-term inflammatory disease of the airways of the lungs. It is characterized by variable and chronic symptoms, reversible airflow obstruction, and bronchospasm.
A New research has claimed that half of the kids suffering from, Asthma and Immunology didn't get epinephrine before the trip to the emergency room. Epinephrine helps a patient to recover from severe allergic reaction advised by the doctors. A person suffering from the allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) should be provided epinephrine as quickly as possible, said the doctors.
However, the study showed that even kids who were prescribed an epinephrine auto injector didn't receive the life-saving medication when they needed it.

The data showed fewer than half the children received epinephrine prior to arriving at the ED. Around 65 percent examined children had a known history of anaphylaxis, and 47 percent had been prescribed epinephrine.
