Punia Donates 6 Months' Salary for Fight against Coronavirus

To fight against the deadly coronavirus pandemic, Star wrestler Bajrang Punia has donated his six months’ salary. 

Punia, who works with the Railways as an officer on special duty (OSD) said in a tweet, he had donated his six months' salary towards the relief fund for COVID-19 patients set up by Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar. To make contributions towards the "Haryana corona relief fund", he encouraged people.
For this work, he earned praise from Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju, who said it was a laudable effort.
The Haryana government launched a voluntary programme on 23rd March, to provide public services relating to combating coronavirus. An official said on 24th March, to beat COVID-19, the programme named 'Covid -- Sangharsh Senani' was launched on 23rd March so that people could willingly give their services in hospitals -- both paramedics and doctors -- and district administration.
To treat coronavirus patients in Delhi government hospitals, Former India opener and BJP lawmaker Gautam Gambhir has also offered to release Rs 50 lakh from his Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) fund for the equipment.
Apart from the sportsperson, fashion designer Anita Dongre had pledged a fund of Rs. 1.5 crore to the people who may not have medical insurance.
Furthermore, Reliance Industries Limited announced to manufacture 100,000 face-masks daily and a large number of protective equipment like suits and garments, for the country's health workers who are busy in fighting the deadly coronavirus - Mukesh Ambani.
Many other people came forward to fight against the virus. This virus has claimed 10 lives in India and 18,900 globally. While who are tested positive from the virus, in India are 562 and are more than 4 lacs around the world.
