Quizizz Gets a Partner in Nexus Venture

What is Quizizz?

Quizizz is yet another virtual classroom that is multilayered and allows students to practice and interact together. It is free to use and works on all devices that supports a browser, like computers, tablets, laptops or smart phones. It is very popular amongst students and teachers alike as it is an online quiz platform that allows players to join from different locations from their own devices form a team and answer multiple choice questions. It uses flashy animations and it it creates a healthy competition with real-time leader boards.

One great feature of Quizizz is that the teacher can assign for homework. As it is free all the student needs is a game code to enter and they can complete the assignment on their own time within the deadline that is set.

As Ed-Tech startup Quizizz Inc is gaining popularity, it has recently raised $3 million in fund supported by Nexus Venture Partners, as informed by a press statement. Quizizz was the brainchild of Bengaluru and California based BITS Pilani Graduates, Ankit Gupta and Deepak Joy Cheenath in 2015.

They aim at motivating students to better their skills. As this is a game based learning which is great way to keep children focused on cracking the problems. The platform has been a good success with schools in the US organically adopting this platform as a method of teaching and interacting with the students and recently it has hit 10 million active user marks in the US.
