Children’s literature is extremely endowed with the capability of transferring young minds to the realm of magical reality, which accentuates imagination and engulfs children’s emotional development. Thus, its influence is not limited to the childhood period only. The effect of children’s literature goes even deeper into adulthood to affect people in ways that subtly shape their personalities. In this paper, we will uncover the enduring highlights of children's literature and we will see how these initial literary experiences will leave a permanent trace on the people we become later.

1. Cognitive Development:
Children’s literature has an important influence on cognitive development. The great visual images, deep reasoning, and imagination train the brain; this strengthens language skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. The cognitive foundations build in childhood continue to permeate into adulthood, enhancing analytical skills and promoting the development of logical thinking.
