What Kinds Of Sports Should Be Added To The Olympics?
General News | Aug-29-2020
Olympics..... Whenever a person hears the word Olympics, the noise of the joyful crowd and the player's performance in different games and sports are the first things that come in one's mind. There is an end number of games in the Olympics which include Athletics, Cycling, Tennis, Archery, and many more. In 2019, the IOC announced to introduce 5 new sports to Tokyo Olympics 2020 which include Skateboarding, Surfing, Karate, Baseball, and Sport Climbing. Spectators enjoy different games & sport in the Olympics but are all games a part of the Olympics?
The answer is NO. Besides all these games there are still many popular and interesting games & sports dreaming to be a part of the Olympics such as:
1) Frisbee- It is an enjoyable game with a throwing disc roughly 8 to 10 inches. It is a gliding toy and a kind of flying disc games.
2) Jiu-Jitsu- Jui Jitsu is a Japanese Martial Art that includes a strong focus and bulk of energy to strike an opponent.
3) Chess- Chess is a game played between two players on a board with 64 squares arranged in an 8 × 8 grid. It is a very strategic game.
According to me, the main reason why most of these games are not a part of the Olympics is that they are not a type of game that can be watched by a large audience. Most of the Olympic games are a spectator show. These games can't be watched and enjoyed a lot by a large crowd.
The second most reason is that how to determine the ranking. If we will observe most of these games can't be scored on any particular parameter like Frisbee. Though these games are popular how to score and finding a fixed parameter is still a big question.
Therefore, though these games are popular but to come on the world's biggest stage of a sporting event, the Olympics is still an uphill battle and challenge.
