Brightest Light on Earth
Editorials News | Dec-12-2019
Scientists have discovered the brightest light that is ever produced on our planet Earth which has the tendency to shine a billion times stronger and sharper than the surface of our sun.
And it was also found that when they shone the “unimaginably” and unbelievable bright beam, the researchers further discovered it could be also used as a new type of X-ray and is capable of taking more high resolution images compared to the traditional kind.
These can be used in the hospitals and also by engineers, scientists and for other purposes like security.
When light is striking an object, it scatters which is an effect that enables us to see.
Normally there is an electron that just scatters one photon of light at a single time, but the light beam which got produced in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Extreme Light Laboratory was seen with nearly 1,000 photons that scattered at a time.
Dr Donald Umstadter who is among one of the researchers has said that when we are having this unimaginably bright light, it has turned out that the scattering is a fundamental thing that has made everything visible and which fundamentally change nature.
It is as if some things appear differently when one turns up the brightness of this light, which is not that something you normally would ever experience added Dr Donald.
