Sakshi Malik Inaugurated a State Level Wrestling Competition

A state level wresting competition was held in Pune recently. The event has got an amazing response from the audience, around 400 entries has marked on the final day.

The competition was organized along with the Pune Mayor’s Trophy International Invitational Wrestling championship. The tournament was inaugurated by the Rio Olympic Bronze medalist Sakshi Malik.

The organizers also facilitated wrestler Sakshi Malik with a scroll of honor along with a cash amount of Rs. 5 Lakh. The event took place at the Late Rajaram Bhiku Pathare Primary School’s Vithoba Maruti Pathare Indoor Stadium on Thursday.

Wrestlers from Russia, Iran and Mongolia also participated in the competition. According to the player, the competition was one of the best international event ever happened in Pune’s stadium.

However, earlier one state level kabaddi competition had also happened at the same ground, said the participants. During an interview the organizers said, that they have conducted the championship under the rules of United World Wrestling.
