A Technology to Stop Train Accidents

Engineers from IIT- Kharagpur have developed a new tool that can stop the chances of train accidents. This newly made tool for electronic railway interlocking system is successfully tested by the engineers. Because of this invention, soon the train journey will be much safer, said the developers.

The scientists of IIT Kharagpur stated errors in the application logic of interlocking systems may have disastrous consequences. However, through this development the error can be minimized. The IIT researchers also claimed the project’s potential. The researchers have suggested that the technology can develop optimum traffic operation plans, alternative plans for emergencies, near future. The experts are planning to move the project further by developing the products and technologies with an industrial partner for production.
