Computers are Available For Free to Practice Test

Those who don’t have computers or mobile phones, over 2.72 lakh computers are being made available for free, to practice tests of JEE (Main) and UGC-NET examinations. 3, 404 Test Practice Centres (TPCs) launched by the National Testing Agency (NTA), across the 662 districts of the country, where one can register and practice the Computer Based Test (CBT) which is free of cost.

Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra have 300 centers each. NTA launched a mobile app, through which students can practice on their own mobile phones or computers. According to NTA officials, on students demand, TPCs were set up. On September 8 and 9, a trial run of mock tests was conducted. 2,452 students practiced at 96 TPCs across the country. Even the Candidates were provided with instant feedback and assessment.

Candidates came for the mock test from 25 centers across 16 states via Google Hangout. HRD Minister, Prakash Javadekar interacted with 1,993, where he asked them for their suggestions and said no student would be at a disadvantage due to lack of resources.

The NTA has engaged a large number of schools and colleges to set up TPCs, which have 30 or more Internet-connected PCs/laptops at one location. Jammu and Kashmir have 47 and north Eastern have 163 TPCs TPC is free of cost, any student can use it. A student can register themselves on NTA website or using their mobile application. A student can give their mock test from anywhere.
