Connection Of Arts With Sports

The presence of sports has always been evident in the living of many through out time and has tendency to affect our livelihood. Humans also have a natural competitive nature that sports tend of bringing out. The excitement of this type of competition has stimulated spectators, providing a sense of team spirit and also admiration for all various types of athletes. In most of the cases, people also develop an emotional connection with sports games by showcasing their overwhelming joy when their favorite team wins or by being extremely upset when their team suffers a loss.

In sports, there is always the end goal which suggests of winning, but this is not in similar with the case for art. While art has feature of focusing on creation and freedom of expression, all sports focuses on abiding to strict rules of the game. For instance, one of the best and amazing sports moments in the history remains Michael Jordan’s dramatic buzzer beater that coined as “The Shot” in 1980. His Chicago Bulls had been once trailing the Cleveland Cavaliers for the entire duration of the fifth game among the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The play is also considered to be one of Jordan’s greatest clutch moments, and within the game itself, a pure classic. The level of agility and physical prowess has also been displayed by Jordan and is admired by many. One might also feel that his technique was an art. Art and sports are two different concepts but they have some features common and uncommon in them.
