Covid-19 Vaccine's Status

Covid-19 originated in china in December 2019. Since then, nothing is as it was earlier; we wear masks, use sanitizers, and avoid public gatherings now. Now the question is when we are getting the vaccine? There are several vaccines in the process of making for the last few months.
The status of vaccine till now:
- Pfizer coronavirus vaccine- The company said that they would release the vaccine efficiency data in October; they said they would supply 40 million doses in the United States this year if everything went well with the clinical testing.
- Oxford-AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine- On the positive side, this week AstraZeneca, said that their vaccine shows encouraging results in the elderly and youngsters. Trial candidates aged 56 and above showed a lower risk of side effects and reactions from this vaccine. The firm is planning to release the vaccine from November 2 and provide it in London hospitals first. The vaccine doesn't need to be stored at freezing temperatures, making it easy to distribute.
- Moderna coronavirus vaccine- Moderna is hoping to produce 20 million doses by the end of December 2020 for emergency use. ModernaInc had a positive outcome and is expecting to get approval for emergency use of the vaccine from December, according to the Wall Street Journal.
- Covishield- In India, the Serum Institute is testing the vaccine called Covishield. The first 100 million doses to be available by the quarter of 2021, said the CEO, A. Poonawalla.
- Johnson and Johnson vaccine- US pharmaceutical major is planning to launch the first batch of the vaccine, JNJ-78436735, in January. After a pause in the trial process of the vaccine due to reaction illness in the candidates. The company is beginning its trials again.
Other vaccines which are developing:
- Russian Sputnik V is under trial again, proving to be 92% efficient.
- Janssen's vaccine trials are recruiting 6000 people across the United Kingdom and 3000 from the world to see the efficiency of the vaccine in everyone.
- Wuhan Institute of Biological Products, Sinopharm in China, and Gamaleya Institute in Russia are at final testing.
Who will get the vaccine first?
The countries where covid is at its peak and spreading in almost every corner will be the first one on the list. The health workers like doctors, nurses, etc., with frontline workers and the elderly, will be getting the first shot of the vaccine.
It is also necessary to achieve herd immunity, that is, when 60% to 70% of the world population is immune to the virus, even when the vaccine works perfectly.
