Editorials News | Jan-02-2019
Board exams hold a lot of importance in every student’s life. Not just students but parents and teachers are equally stressed for the performance of their ward.
Every student wishes to perform excellently in the Board exams. During the board exams students go through a lot of stress and anxiety. It is indeed a very crucial phase in every student’s life. This time for over 30,000 combinations of 240 subjects, in class 10th and 12th board exams, the exams will last for almost 34 days. After a much long wait, Central Board of Secondary Exams (CBSE) has finally released the date sheet for the board exams 2019. CBSE released the date sheet for class 10th and 12th both. As per the date sheet released, class 12th exams are to begin from February 15 and will last until April 3, 2019. On the other hand, the board exams for class 10th shall commence on February 21, 2019 and shall conclude on March 29. This time CBSE has decided to conduct the exams for those vocational subjects first which are opted by lesser students, on the contrary the examinations for the core subjects shall be conducted later in the month of March as per the usual practice. Once the date sheet was released, the students analyzed it and then took to social media in order to express their views. Some class 12 students stated that there are hardly any gaps between Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics paper. On the other hand, class 10th students who have opted for regional language complained that there is only one day gap for Maths paper. Apart from this, as far as the practical exams are concerned, they shall be held from January 16 to February 15 other than in Allahabad. The reason for this exception is the Kumbh mela and its celebrations because of which the practical exams in Allahabad will commence from January 1, 2019. CBSE has directed the schools to finish up the practical exams before February 15, 2019. Also, CBSE has issued a guideline that the practical exams shall be held in two sessions in case if the number of students exceed 20. Now it is upto CBSE to edit the date sheet. CBSE may amend it if it finds the reasoning of the students genuine enough. We hope that like every year, students will come out with flying colors and perform extraordinarily in the Board exams. All the best to all class 10th and 12th students.
