Dost For Life”: Helping Hand For Students

"Dost for Life" is a great initiative taken by CBSE to help Students deal with the Current Atmosphere and to Provide crucial academic Guidance. "Dost for Life" is a CBSE App designed for Students of Class 9th to 12th and their parents. The App is Free to use and a convenient Platform, which will provide counselling sessions. This App is made for CBSE affiliated Schools, The Examination is again postponed due to increasing COVID cases in the Country. And In such a situation, Students are Facing Mental Problems. To help students with these kinds, CBSE introduced has launched this App.
Earlier, CBSE launched a Toll-Free Number for Students, This App has many features:
1. Students will be able to join Specialist by choosing a Time Slot at their convenience.
2. They can choose any one slot from the two-time slots.
3. Three times a week, there will be a Live Counselling session, which will be conducted free of Cost by the Counselor and Principal.
4. There is a Course Guidance App for the Students of Class 12th.
5. Tips for Mental Health care will also be Provided,
Students can choose any of two slot time slots from 9:30 to 1:30 pm or 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm and they can connect through a Chat Box. This App will simultaneously cater to Students and Parents from the CBSE affiliated Schools in a different geographic area across the World, The three days a Week for counseling are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. In This Year(2021) total of 83 volunteers are there to help, Of which 66 are From India and 17 are from -Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Oman, Kuwait, Japan, and the USA. The CBSE Board has also brought out a manual that will discuss the interplay of Schools, Family, and community for the psychosocial well-being of Students at different development Stages, This Manual has various Chapters on dealing with the Current Pandemic and the appropriate behavior for COVID and Students can get this Manual from CBSE.nic.in. Dost for Life is available on Google Play Store for Android Users As the Exams for 10th Cbse are canceled and for the 12th class, the exams are postponed Students are having many questions regarding their careers and how they can be admitted to further studies after 12th. This App will give solutions and guidance related to this also. It will Guide Parents on how they can help, support, and encourage their children in these Tough times.
