Exam Norms For Kids Of Jawans Killed In Pulwama Attack Eased by CBSE

The horrific and dreadful Pulwama terror attack which killed 40 CRPF men last week is still fresh in everyone’s mind. CBSE has announced some relaxation to the children of military and paramilitary personnel fighting terrorism and left-wing extremism. In case these children have missed out on their practical examinations then the same would be re-conducted for them by their school by 10th April. They will also be permitted for appearing in any offered subject later if they so desire. They can also change the center of examination in the same city or to another. The Directorate of Education of Delhi Government also has announced that the children of the martyred CRPF men who take education in Government Schools can appear for compartment examinations which will be held in April and May if they are unable to appear in the ongoing ones. The school's HoDs have been directed to prepare a list of these students.
On Wednesday, the Central Bureau of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the relief for the children of military and paramilitary personnel fighting terrorism and left-wing extremism. The relaxations come in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack which killed 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Jammu and Kashmir last week. The controller of CBSE’s examinations, Sanyam Bhardwaj, said that if they have missed their practical examination, the same would be conducted on the basis of their convenience by April 10th by their respective school. In case they wish to appear in any offered subject later, they will be permitted to do that also. These students will also be permitted to change the center of examination in the same city or to another city.
The Directorate of Education (DoE) of Delhi government informed that students of personnel killed in Pulwama are permitted to appear for compartment examinations, which will be held in April and May if they are not able to appear in the ongoing annual exams this year. This will be applicable only to students who are studying in government schools of DoE.
The additional director, Saroj Sain said that the heads of government schools (HoDs) are directed to prepare the list of those children who lost their progenitor in the attack and are unable to appear in the ongoing annual examination.
