Festivals Keeping the Traditions Alive

Festivals we all know are celebrated to rejoice special moments in our lives. We celebrate these festivals with our loved ones with full joy and happiness. However, what is the reason for what we can say that festivals are important? Festivals play a very vital role in one's life. The most important feature of a festival is that it helps to keep traditions alive. From time to time we have noticed that the importance of these traditions is exhausting. Generation by generation people has taken these festivals not that seriously making the importance of tradition decreasing. However, when we all the family members gather up then our grandparents sand elders to us tell us what ritual has to be followed. This keeps the tradition alive. The fact is that we start getting habitual to perform these rituals on that particular occasion and then we further teach the same values to our younger ones. This is the chain that shall never break. Once it breaks then at that very point we lose our values and we are left with no identity. This is a continuous cycle. India has various religions and each religion have their own traditions. This makes up our identity. Once we stop giving importance to these traditions then indirectly we lose our identity. Traditions only keep us attached to our roots. We must therefore give utmost importance to our festivals and perform these with a full heart.

To conclude I would say that it’s important to celebrate festivals to keep our traditions our identity alive.
