Fortnite Breaks PUBG Record With 3.4 Million Players In The World

Fortnite is already described as one of the biggest game in the world by the Epic Games. And now, there are exact stats that prove the claims. The game hit a peak number of a total of 3.4 million concurrent players on Sunday. This numbers beats the Battlegrounds' record of 3.2 million players on Steam. Both of the games are a part of the Battle Royale sub-genre where a lot of players rival to become the last man standing on a slow shrink map.

The game's idea was invented by none of the creators but PUBG's inventors recently diced with the idea of suing Fortnite for being too identical. Fortnite could do better at the weekend if the server problems wouldn't arise because of so many people playing at the same time. Epic Games posted details on what went wrong and how they plan to make sure it does not happen again. There are some signs of the PUBG's popularity on the PC to have peaked. This is because for the first time ever the average player count went downhill instead of uphill last month. The game just recently launched on Xbox One and there is chance of beating Fortnite in the long run. Especially if there is a PS4 version later. The latest versions of the game are on mobile phone and not on consoles.
