Editorials News | Nov-08-2018
Padhega India tabhi to badhega India. Does this slogan only apply to the young generation? Indeed No. Not just children or young people need to be literate but also it is important for the adults to be educated. For a country to grow and develop it is extremely important for its citizens to be literate. Education also helps in many other ways such as changing and modernizing the mind-sets of the citizens thereby reducing crimes of social nature and ill practices that are till today a part of our society.
Educated India will also be able to represent itself in a better way even on international platforms. On the same lines, the Union Minister Prakash Javadekar, declared that the Centre is formulating a scheme wherein the children will be encouraged to teach their adults such as their illiterate parents, grandparents, other relatives at home. He visited one of the family in Jaipur city and requested the children to teach their illiterate grandparents.
