Happiness Is Health On The Streets of Ahmedabad

Happy Streets roared again with fun, party, laughter, zumba and music on the bank of the Sabarmati River on Sunday. The first in this year's series, Gujarat's longest and longest staffing project received an overwhelming response. This year, Happy Streets came with a new addition, the mission to combat the deadly mosquito bite. In partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Ahmedabad (AMC), the health department of the civic body installed a special stand where officials showed visiting families the life cycle of the mosquito, from the places where they lay their eggs.

The visitors received advice to prevent the infestation. "Such demonstrations help to shape an important determinant that is guiding the health behavior of citizens. Happy Streets is an attractive platform, "municipal commissioner Vijay Nehra had previously told TOI.

Apollo Hospitals established a special corner to urge citizens to commit to lead a healthy life. MyByk offered visitors the opportunity to experience cycling along the riverbank. Sunil Vasavada, a regular customer of Happy Streets, said: "This event is an opportunity for me to establish contacts." Vasavada was one of the visitors who enjoyed singing with a street band. In the popular zumba-aerobics, corner instructors Navin Agarwal, Hinal Panchasara, Raja Trivedi, Dave Kosha, Vikas Sharma, Rashmika Pandya and DJ Perth Rock taught people how to start their mornings with energy.

The Happy Street initiative of Times of India is connecting people in the streets, in an exclusive area without speakers. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and the Traffic Department also support the initiative and have also declared CG Road WITHOUT HONKING ZONE during Happy Street Time. It is a great community initiative that transforms a Sunday morning into a holiday. People from different age groups can come to sing, dance, exercise, draw, play and do what they feel they do happily. Within this accelerated life, Happy Street gives everyone the opportunity to connect with each other as a humble community. This is a unique initiative, and at Creative Yatra we feel that all cities in India should have a Happy Street full of people, without vehicle distractions and pollution.
