How Do I Become a Professional Wrestler?

Professional Wrestling in India looks brighter with athletes winning number of medals not just within the country but across global competitions. This has also positively impacted the mindset of young crowd and many are now interested in becoming professional wrestlers.

What are the steps that one needs to follow in order to become a Wrestler? First and foremost one has to find and enroll in a professional wrestling academy to learn the techniques. There is only a handful of Pro Wrestling School in India. However, it is a major requirement in order to train to become a Professional Wrestler. The best is joining a Pro Wrestling school where the trainer himself/ herself is or has been a Professional Wrestler.

The next important aspect of becoming a Professional Wrestler is to be physically fit and active. A good diet that consists of lots of protein is a must along with rigorous physical training to build muscles and bone strength. Professional Wrestlers have to do lot of weight trainings and other exercises along with learning the techniques of Wrestling. They need to so different kinds of exercises like cardiovascular exercises, Stretching exercises, along with the weight trainings. Professional Wrestling is not all about physical strength, but it also requires mental agility and alertness to combat and defeat the opponent. One needs to be aggressive and yet patient. Yoga and meditation helps in calming the mind of the wrestlers.

When it comes to diet it is said that a Professional Wrestler should consume 1 gram of protein for every pound of weight that the person weighs. This means, if a Wrestler weighs 150 pounds he/she should consume at least 150 grams of protein every day.
