How Sharing Knowledge Does Increase Our Knowledge?

Knowledge is a lifetime gift in one’s life. We all have heard our teachers saying that share your knowledge with others, maybe you know something they don’t. But the question is, how does sharing knowledge increase our knowledge?

You need the knowledge to do anything in life, from preparing various culinary to making a rocket, one needs information to do them. Without knowledge, life is meaningless. Knowledge is the collection of facts and information to understand a subject or a hobby. Our knowledge doesn’t just increase in our childhood, knowledge can also be increased in any situation because every situation in life has a lesson in the end.

There are four types of knowledge:

Factual Knowledge: Factual knowledge can be defined as specific details, facts, or any definition of a word. It based on some basic information like an octopus as 3 hearts etc.

Conceptual Knowledge: Conceptual knowledge is similar to Factual knowledge, it is based on different concepts like perimeter in maths and energy in science, etc.

Procedural Knowledge: Procedural knowledge as the name suggests in the procedure of doing a specific task. Like making an algorithm or solving a math problem.

Metacognitive Knowledge: Metacognitive Knowledge refers to awareness of one's own knowledge, or knowing how much knowledge you have.

When we share our knowledge with someone it obviously benefits them, and it might come in hand occasionally. But maybe the other person knows more about that topic and he might share. By, sharing our piece of information, he might tell us more and this way both the people get benefited. As they say, “Learning never stops”!

I hope this article gave you some information. Now, I would like to end with this quote: “Great minds are always feared by lesser minds.” By, Dan Brown, The Lost Symbol
