Here is a look at how three educational institutions are doing their part for creating more workers for healthcare.

Thomas Edison Career and Technical Education High School, Jamaica, NY

This school has a long history of medical related programs. Students can leave with certification and gives opportunity to students to begin working in healthcare field right after high school. The curriculum is quite extensive with layers of subjects to study. They also get hands-on experience by conducting activities that gives them skills like ECG testing, pediatric measurements, venipuncture, capillary puncture etc.

Nicholas County Career and Technical Center, Craigsville, West Virginia

This school is known for its nursing program more than nine other career paths that it offers. By studying there, you would be in classrooms that are basically companies. This allows students to get real world experience. They carry roles such as nursing assistant, safety manager etc. They also provide high school credits to students. Moreover, they also have student grants available.

Chippewa Valley High Schools, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin
