India Vs New Zealand After World Cup
Editorials News | Jan-25-2020
India played T-20 International series against New Zealand after semifinals World cup 2019 on 24th January 2020. Before that, on 19th January India has finished the one-day series match with Australia.
Regarding this match, Virat Kohli had expressed his concern regarding the timings of the match.
Well it's definitely getting closer and closer to landing at the stadium and playing straight. That's how compressed the game has become but he thinks this kind of travel and coming to a place, which is seven hours ahead of India time, is always difficult to adjust too immediately, Kohli told reporters.
Reporter’s also asked about taking revenge with New Zealand
Honestly, even if you think about revenge, these guys are so nice; you can't get into that zone. The Indian Cricket team gets along really well with these guys and it's all about just being competitive on the field. They are probably one side that has set the right example for teams to play at the international level and how they should carry themselves. They are not nasty and you can tell by the way they play. The Indian Cricket team has a lot of respect for them and vice-versa. Indian team were actually happy for them when they qualified for the finals because when you have lost you have to look at the larger picture, described Kohli.
Further he also reported that he doesn’t think leadership can always be determined by the results. It's also about how you can get the team together and get the guys functioning under you as well, which I think Kane has done wonderfully well.
Kohli has the respect of his team-mates and he has the trust of his team-mates, is what he can see. If a team outplays you, you have to accept it as a collective failure, and not a lack of leadership or captaincy is what he thinks.
