Indian Football Team Reigns after Fans Bow Down To Appeal

A lot of fans gathered around the stadium to watch India's match against Kenya and our football team captain kept his promise of keeping up with their efforts. India won against Kenya by 3-0 at a packed Mumbai football arena. Chhetri was quite happy to see the response to his plea to support football in India. He was playing his 100th international match against Kenya. Sunil Chhetri's appeal went viral on social media a few days before the match. The appeal led to 2569 fans turning up to watch the national team play. A total of 7000 tickets were sold completely due to his video appeal.

 The Blue Tigers, who are coached by Stephen Constantine (former Millwall Boss), are no at top for the Intercontinental Cup. The tournament includes four team and also features New Zealand and Chinese Taipei. The captain dedicated his victory to the fans. The match marks 13th win for the Indian football team in their last 16 international games. Indian team was ranked at an all time low in 2015 at 166th but they have improved continuously. Over the past 3 years, they have reached 97th spot - which is their highest ranking till now.A lot of cricketers came out to support his plea like Suresh raina, the legend Sachin Tendulkar and our captain himself - Virat Kohli. Let's hope that the support continues in he future.
