India's Under-14 Tennis Players Will Miss The Prestigious Asian Event

The participation of children of India in the development event of the Asian Division U-14 U-14, which has two tournaments, starting on May 4 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, has become uncertain.

The All-India Tennis Association (AITA) had requested the authorization of the equipment and airline tickets of the Union Government. Since the government refused to pay the bill, the AITA tried to support the expenses of the equipment. But now, he seems to have washed his hands on the subject, due to a variety of reasons.

"We have explored ways to send our team, but unfortunately, because Pakistan is closing its airspace, all flights to Tashkent have to bypass Pakistan, which has increased time and costs. In addition, due to the rush of summer and the closure of Jet Airways, the availability of seats has also been reduced, which has caused an increase in ticket costs to almost one mile of rupees. In addition, the available flights are made through distant cities, which translates into an increase in travel time to almost 24 hours, "AITA informed the organizers and the parents of the six players.

Ayushmaan Arjeria, Yuvan Nandal, Agriya Yadav in the children's section, and Pari Singh, Suhita Maruru and Chahana Budhubhati are the six players selected for the event.

"The six players who have been selected to represent India are already disappointed, the best players in these tournaments can have the opportunity to compete in Europe for five weeks," said Kirti Singh, Pari Singh's mother, the girl No. 1 of the country in the age group.

Pari had performed very well at the Asia Oceania World Junior tennis event in Malaysia, although the team did not qualify for the world group stage.

"The last two years, Pari missed her two academic sessions due to training and tennis tournaments just to maintain her No.1 position and get this opportunity. He seems lost now, "said Kirti Singh, rather downcast with the turn of events.

It should be noted that the U-14 event, with two tournaments, was originally scheduled to be held in Pune from April 27 but had to change due to the uncertainty of hosting such events in India, especially with players from Pakistan as well. scheduled Be part of the exercise.

The parents, despite losing hope, are trying to impress on the authorities the urgency and the need for players to go to this event.
