Infant Know Much More Than We Expect
Editorials News | Aug-05-2017
How many times you got puzzled while thinking about how your infant’s future would be? Except for the truth that you’re newborn is just too small to consider your expectations. Anyways, we have latest news for you that have come from the street of science and discoveries. A new study has revealed that babies are keeping close track of what's going on in front of them and looking for patterns of activities that may suggest preferences.
The findings proved that infants look for regular patterns of behavior and make judgments about people's preferences. These preferences are often based on simple probabilities calculated from observed events and actions. The scientists stated that study may shed light on how infants and young children learn about people's preferences for a certain kind of food, toy or activity.
This study will also help the scientists to understand why children always seem to want the toy that someone else is playing with. As per the scientists, this consistency is a vital aspect for infants in helping them sort out what's happening in the world around them. The study has been co-authored by Lori Markson, associate professor of psychological & brain sciences and director of the Cognition & Development Lab at Washington University in St. Louis.
