The cradle of the human race altogether is India, it is the birthplace of human speech, it is the mother of history, tradition, culture and the grandmother of legend. In fact the most precious and most useful materials in the history of mankind are treasured in our motherland only.

And here are some facts that you may find amazing: A floating post office: With a network of over 1, 55,015 post offices, India has the largest postal network in the world. One single post office on an average, serves about 7,175 people. In August 2011, a floating post office was inaugurated in Dal Lake, Srinagar.
Water on the moon was discovered by India: The Indian Space Research Organisation's Chandrayaan-1 by using its Moon Mineralogy Mapper spotted water on the moon for the first time in September 2009 .
India's first President only took 50% of his salary: The first President of India, Dr Rajendra Prasad, turned down the offer of taking full salary and only accepted 50% of his salary. By the end of his 12-year tenure, he only took 25% of his salary.
India is the world's second-largest English speaking country: Indians seconds the USA when it comes to speaking English with around 125 million people speaking the English language all over the country and this is expected to grow by quite a margin in the coming years.
