NSG Launches Psychology Test for Selection of Future Commandos
Editorials News | Jun-29-2018
NSG has launched a new comprehensive psychology test for soldiers at entry level who wished to be honed as black cat commandos. These soldiers undertake special counter terror and counter hijack operations for the country. There were only demanding physical and mental strength tests till now if they wish to get inducted into the premier force. A senior official of the Union Home Ministry has said that the soldiers who wish to join NSG (National Security Guard) needs to take a series of psychology tests and questions during their 3 month CCC. The NSG is based on the grounds of special counter terror forces of Germany and United Kingdom.
The qualifications of this test will be as important as those of physical and mental parameters. The threshold mark has to be passed by the soldier before moving forward. The new system will definitely ensure that only the best of the best among all three parameters qualify for the commando unit of the country. There was an immediate need for a full time psychologist in the panel to assess the soldiers and there has been a hiring recently for the NSG. The performance records of the commandos will include gradings from their yoga instructor and remarks from the newly hired psychologist. This army force was included under the act of Parliament in 1984 as a federal contingency combat unit.
