Psychology is the study of the mind. It is the study of discipline, an applied science which seeks to understand human and groups through general principals, and applying case studies to recognize issues. A professional pro of psychology is called a psychologist.
Any individual who is either from the science side or the commerce side, both can opt for the course. Psychology is a very stimulating subject having no relation with any of the primary subjects. No fundamentals are required, only a massive area of thinking is required.
Both bachelors and master degree can be done in psychology. It totally depends on the person’s interest to choose. After completing this degree, you can go in any of them as a - career counselor, psychiatric technician, rehabilitation specialist, and case manager.
Now after choosing the course the next question that arises, whether to do BA in psychology or BSC in psychology. Many people, don’t know the difference between BA and BSC, they think that if they are from commerce background, so they will go for BA in psychology as BA refers to Bachelors in Arts and the same with the person with the science background. So today, we will get to know about the basic difference between the two and their respective benefits.
Basically, BSC provides more practical learning and BA provides more theoretical learning. Therefore, BSC has more exposure as compared to BA.
Poonam Phogat, Assistant professor of Psychology Gargi College, University of Delhi informed, BA (Hons) in Psychology is a non- applied field that primarily focuses on theoretical curriculum with limited learning. On the other hand, a BSC degree or a BA (hons) in applied psychology involves field exposure, experimental learning thereby giving students a better view of the industry requirements.
To be a certified psychologist, you have to complete the master’s degree. It doesn’t matter even if you have completed the bachelor’s degree in any of them i.e. BA or BSC.

• Abnormal psychology.
• Behavioral psychology.
• Biopsychology.
• Clinical psychology.
• Cognitive psychology.
• Comparative psychology.
• Counseling psychology.
• Cross- culture psychology.
