Purpose of True Education

Students live in a bubble that keeps them break away from the world. If you ask students about events that are happening in the world, then most will not be ready to tell you because they lack knowledge by the faculties that do not teach about current events. For college kids, their whole world revolves around immediate things like homework, social events, friends, and therefore the occasional part-time job. Students, of high school students, got to be more educated on the events of the planet to be ready to sleep in it when their schooling is finally over and that they are exposing into reality, but they ought to be allowed to try to so at their own pace. The principles and regulations of schools are sometimes verging towards extreme and put in top priority over the education itself.

With the way dress codes and rules on electronics are stressed and put in extreme importance, wonder students can show up to high school without being concerned that maybe they are doing something wrong. Understandably, schools do need the principles to stay in order, but they not have a focus on the faculties, the education should show more content.

The Common Core Standards require students to be at a particular level of proficiency in reading, writing, and arithmetic. A part of the mission statement of the Common Core is this: the Common Core State Standards provide a uniform, clear understanding of what students shall do to find out, so teachers and fogeys know what they have to try to to to assist them (Common Core State Standards). The thought of Common Core presents may be a good example, the application of the technique is not flawless. The way during which the faculties are completing the Common Core puts more pressure on students and limits their ability to specialize in their path of learning because they need to satisfy the standards put before them.
Therefore, the way the Common Core is implementing this distorts and degrades the meaning and practice of education.

Education has come an extended way within the history of man, but has it come far enough? Education nowadays is getting more generalized and robotic; memorizing specific facts for test questions. Although many believe students are becoming a real and valuable education, many students would argue that American education system is profoundly lacking. Pen paper tests are one of the issues in our education system. The thought that the entire school curriculum should be pre-planned around tests may be a foolish one if we would like to urge a top-quality education that we will learn something valuable. Having students cram facts and memorize test answers is not teaching, that is encouraging more stress and late nights.
