Recycle, Reuse and Replace Plastics?

Plastic is an actual boon to mankind. These days we can’t even think of our lives without plastic. Anywhere we look around, we see plastics. Whether it is our homes, roads, malls, shops and even industries. But,

Plastic is good as it is waterproof, smell-proof, very light in weight, has a very long lifespan, affordable and durable. Plastics can be either colourless or colourful.

Plastic is a non-biodegradable substance and is made from non-renewable resources. When put in a landfill, it takes more than 100 years to decompose it. It can also create a blockage in drains and can cause pollution. This, excessive use of plastic is harmful to mankind.

Plastics can be reused, reduced and recycled at home and that too in a creative manner. Few very basic practices can help us in reducing plastics and we can also reuse them instead of throwing. Example, planters from plastic bottles, the piggy bank from containers, shampoo bottle into phone holder and more!

Many creative people worldwide have found many ways to recycle plastics like a new discovery states that very strong roads can be made up of plastic bags and other plastic waste. PPE kits used by doctors and nurses in hospitals during COVID 19 pandemic situation are also made up of plastic.

Therefore, we all don’t have to finish plastic use but instead, we have to use it wisely without wasting.
