Rules and Regulations That You Should Keep in Mind to Play Basketball

Basketball is a team sport and played between two teams. Each team has 5 players in it. The game is played on rectangular floor called the court. There is a hoop on both ends and the court is divided from the mid line. If the offensive has a ball in their hand then they has to cross the mid line before the 10 seconds otherwise defender will get the ball. Whole basketball game is divided into four quarters.

Then ball moves towards the basket through passing and dribbling .The team who has the ball called the offence and team without the ball is called defence. They try to steal the ball, pass, dribble, gained rebound etc. When the team makes a basket then two points is given to that team and if the team makes a basket from the three point arc then only three points is given to the team who attempted that shot. Free throws are awarded to the teams according to the some fouls they commit in a half or quarter. Fouling a shooter always results in two or three free throws being awarded to the shooter, depending upon where he was when he shot.
