Joanne Rowling writes under the pen name “J.K. Rowling and Robert Galbraith”. Rowling is a British novelist and screenwriter who received a lot of fame for writing Harry Potter fantasy series. The books of Harry Potter have won multiple awards and sold more than 400 million copies.
The Harry Potter series became the best – selling book series in the history and became a base for a series of films. Rowling had overall approval over scripts of these films and was a producer on the final films in the series. She was born in Yate, Gloucestershire, England. She was also working as a researcher and bilingual secretary for Amnesty International. Her first novel in the series was published in 1997 and then there were six sequels to it. The last one was released in 2007. Rowling has also written four books for adult readers. These are The Casual Vacancy, The Cuckoo’s Calling, The Silkworm and Career of Evil.
