The Most Famous Indian Ruler

Akbar, the most famous ruler of India.

Born into the house of the royals ruling India at the time, Akbar was born to Humayun and took thorn in 1542. Akbar is not the most famous ruler for building monuments but instead for his ruling policies and his relations with his public and other religions. TV serials and movies also play a great part in glorifying Akbar and his reign.

The third emperor of India, Abu'l-Fath Jalal-ud-din Muhammad Akbar with his smart ruling added most of India under his kingdom. Akbar made economic and political growth by dividing his kingdom work and making heads of each administrative work. Such as; The revenue department was headed by a wazir, The head of the military was called the mir bakshi etc.

As agriculture was the main occupation of most people, he made sure proper loan and money distribution system prevailed in his administration. To win most of India required the most powerful army all over India. Akbar managed it by putting up a system that would only grow his army stronger. Each head of a clan or group of lower-ranked army men was required to maintain a certain number of cavalrymen and twice that number of horses. For this, the heads were highly paid and all of this led to the creation of a highly powerful army in history.

Akbar provided protection and compensation to foreign traders which promoted trading in his kingdom. He also provided friendship ad [protection to the kingdoms who married their daughters of him. Most of them were Rajput women. As majorly known for his tolerance of other religions, all his wives were given religious freedom through a lot of them converted to Islam.

His relation with Hindus flourished due to his tolerance and removing the death penalty upon changing one's religion to Hindu. He celebrated Hindu festivals, banned cow slaughter, and also rakhis. This said allowance made him a hero in the eyes of Hindus which made many ballades and prayers include his name. He is said to have 35 wives among which his favorite is said to be the Hindu princess, Jodha bai. He died in 1605 leaving his entire legacy to his son, Salim. He was the most renowned for his efficient administration.
