The Re-Union of the Embryos of Pseudooides with Their Adult Counterparts
Editorials News | Dec-18-2017
A fossil is any kind of remains, impression, or trace of any once-living thing from an age long period of time that has been preserved in sedimentary rocks. The remains of bones, shells, stone imprints of animals or hair, petrified wood, oil, coal, and DNA remnants are some of its example. Paleontologists have been confused since a very long time over the microscopic fossils of Pseudooides, which are smaller even than sand grains in size.
By the special processes of fossilization the fossils were preserved and could be frozen in time. After freezing their spongy cells converted into hard stone. A team of paleontologists have now peered inside the Pseudooides embryos using X-rays and observed features that relate them to the adult stages of another fossil group with similar features. They have been found in the similar rocks as Pseudooides long ago. It is being considered that these family members are not at all complicated segmented animals. They are the ancestors of modern jellyfish. Ultimately the embryos of Pseudooides have been reunited with their adult counterparts. These reunions have opened the way of research to find out other family members of various other fossils that has not been noticed yet. This research will guide researchers to go a long way in this regard.
