The Rebirth of Cells from an Artificial Death
Editorials News | Oct-03-2017
UC Santa Barbara labs have explored a remarkable study that has revealed that cells can recover from the grave of death. The new study demonstrates that Anastasias is an active process that is composed of two recognizable stages. It is a well known fact that cells need to transcribe new genes for recovery. The scientists studied every detailed activity involved in every molecule of mRNA in the cells as soon as they started to die and then recovered. They took a form of programmed cell that is an integral part of almost all disease, added some toxin and apoptosis was induced. After this procedure the cells were brought to the edge of death. Then the inducer was removed and the cells were enabled to recover for up to 12 hours. Scientists minutely studied the changes in genetic profile of the cells during this process. It was found that during the first four hours of recovery, the cells underwent huge changes in gene expression compared to untreated cells. However, the recovery of cells that was done in an hour is much more similar to each other than cells that took much more time to recover. Cells have an amazing feature to hold on to some survival molecules, in case they need it to recover while dying. During that process angiogenesis inducers make new blood vessels. The research has a long way to go so that it may help in treatment of various diseases.
