The Third Richest Person On The Globe; Mark Zuckerberg

A recent study says Technology is the biggest wealth creator and Mark Zuckerberg just happens to leapfrog into the position of 3^rd richest person on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Surprisingly he surpassed Warren Buffet to claim his position. Even though Face book was in the news for lot of wrong reasons in the recent months, Face book shares rose 24% and the stock spiked at 15% this year.

The Bloomberg Billionaire Index keeps a constant track of the world’s 500 wealthiest people and at present Mark Zuckerberg’s net worth stands at a whopping $ 82.1 billion. Zuckerberg now stands behind just two people in this world, Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon.com whose net worth is $144 billion and Bill Gates Co-Founder of Microsoft Corporation whose net worth right now stands at $94.9 billion.

All the 3 richest people on the Globe are tech titans, who hail from the world of technology. It doesn’t end here; six of the 10 richest men have also acquired their wealth from technology.

Warren Buffet who has been the wealthiest man on the planet now slipped into fourth position. Well how did it happen, well the Executive Officer of Berkshire Hathaway started donating significant portion of his wealth towards Charity since 2006. He had donated about 290 million Berkshire Hathaway Class B shares to Charity and most of it was donated to Bill Gates Foundation.
