Tight Clothes Banned in Examination Halls by CBSE

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)’s regional office has banned private students from wearing tight clothes to the examination centers. CBSE made white shirts compulsory to sit in examination halls. Also, the regular candidates meanwhile have been asked to wear only school uniforms.

According to a circular passed by the CBSE regional office in Dehradun, which is responsible for governing CBSE schools in the western UP and Uttarakhand regions, students are allowed only to take pouches which are transparent into the examination centers. This rule would enable detection if any cheating material is being slipped in or not. CBSE regional officer Ranveer Singh said that all these initiatives and strict rules have been taken for reduction of chances of cheating in the examination halls. He said that they have issued all these advisories for ensuring that no cheating material is brought inside the examination hall.

The current circular also made signatures of parents on the admit cards of students mandatory. He added that students have been asked to bring their school ID with them and they will not be allowed to enter inside the schools without admit cards. In addition, the students who are appearing for exams have to report at the center before 10 am which is half an hour earlier than last year. He said that they have clearly directed that no student will be allowed into the examination hall after the stipulated time. The doors of the examination room will remain shut 10 minutes before the completion of the examination and no student will be allowed to exit or enter the exam hall during that period. There is also a rule for specially-abled students according to which they have been asked to carry medical certificates with them.

The CBSE board examinations for class XIIth will be held from 15th February to 3rd April while class Xth exams will be held from 21st February to 29th March.
