Upcoming New Technology By HP

Technologies are emerging and now researches are coming up with trending technologies, one such research has now been projected in the technical field. New type of computer has been now found out which can calculate a humungous amount of data of 640TBs of data in one billionth of a second. Let me introduce you to The Machine which is HP’s latest invention. The machine has the ability that it could revolutionize the computing world. According to HP it is known that The Machine is not a server, rather it is a workstation, PC, device or phone but also an amalgamation of all these mentioned things. The design of the machine is such which enables it to cope up with the masses of data that is produced from the Internet of things. Internet of things is basically the concept of a future network which will be designed to connect a variety of gadgets and also objects.
In order to handle and control these flurries of information, the machine uses its clusters of specialized cores that oppose smaller number of generalized cores. The whole thing in the machine is then connected together by using silicon photonics. And instead of using traditional copper wires it uses silicon photonics which further boosts the speed of the system while reducing energy requirements. Furthermore, the technology also features a new property which is called memristors which are resistors that enable the machine to store more and more information even after power is lost.
This technology has resulted as a system which is six times more powerful than existing servers that requires about 80 times lesser energy. According to reports by HP, it is also known that The Machine can manage 160 petabytes of data in a mere 250 nanoseconds. And another thing which makes it all the way more useful that it is just not limited to supercomputers but can be used in smaller devices such as smartphones and laptops.
During an amazing speech given at Discover by chief technology officer Martin Fink, it was explained that if the technology was scaled down, smartphones could have been now fabricated with 100 tb of memory.
Such inventions are necessary to occur in our technological world and there are lots more to come.
