Festivals are important part our lives. Festivals are in different forms. Some festivals are cultural, some are national and some are religious and many more. Despite the different kinds in which these festivals are originated, the most important thing is celebration.
Festivals are events associated with religious, cultural or national events. They havesignificant role to play in society. They bring everyone together in the essence of brotherhood and togetherness and alarm us for all the goods in the world. Theyare celebrated at the correct time to break the monotony andbring some cheer into our lives.

Offer prayers:The most important thing is festivals are also about prayer for person’s wellness and that of all other around.
Maintain cultures and traditions: It helps to carry forward culture and traditions to the next generation.
Teaches traditionalpractices: By captivating children in the festivities, they can be taught about the traditional practices and rituals that are followed.
Memoires history and mythology:Festivals are religious or national and each festival has historical and mythological tales connected with them and celebration is the time to collect these tales and reflect them.

The effects of festivals are very beneficial for an individual and for the betterment of society. Theyalso free us from monotony of life. Festivals create an environment of cultural harmony and peace among the citizens. They teach us to leave enmity and tie one another in a bond of love. Festivals mix up Moral, ethical, social values of life with entertainment.
