Yoga is considered to be a great way to stay fit for a very long time. It is not only great for youth but also a boon for children and senior citizens. Starting yoga at an early age is a good way to develop flexibility, fitness, focus and concentration amongst children and help them in their life ahead. At the same time, it is also a boon for elderly people. This is because it is one of the simplest ways to maintain our health and stay fit. It can also provide senior citizens with a boost of energy, enthusiasm and happiness.
While yoga is amazing for people of all ages and genders, let’s know in detail about the ‘Impact of Yoga on the Physical Condition of Woman in a Period of Menopause’.
Period of menopause is the time that in which a woman’s menstrual cycle or her periods end. Menopause usually happens in between the ages of 40s or 50s. It is a natural biological process. During a menopause, women usually experience anxiety, mood swings, night sweats, hot flashes, difficulty in sleeping and other sexual problems.
Now, it’s important to know about yoga’s impact in this period of menopause. Yoga, is a great natural remedy to reduce anxiety and mood swings caused by menopause. Yoga asanas like ‘Nadi Shodhana’ or the alternate nostril breathing and 'Uttanasana’ or the standing forward bend are some great yoga poses to reduce anxiety and mood swings.
At the same time, ‘Supta Baddha Konasana’ or the Reclining Bound Angle Pose and ‘Viparita Karani' or the legs up the wall pose are some marvellous for calming and cooling down our body for escaping hot flashes and getting a good sleep.
Therefore, for every physical or mental problem at any time of one’s life, yoga can help in some or the other way.
