Know What a Kid Should Include in Their Diet to Boost Immunity

The immune system is the build-up of a series of cells, tissues, and organs that protect us from any pathogens who intend to invade our bodies. These tissues and organs are the ones that ensure our health by resisting any infection that comes in our body. Although every age group needs to consider and eat foods that build immunity, for children, it is necessary to have a healthy and immunity-boosting diet. The building of strong immunity starts from childhood. An infant gets much of his/ her from the mother's milk. Over time, their system matures and becomes strong to fight from any disease. But as a child grows, the standard amount of nutritional value should be added in their diet to take care of their immunity.
Here are some increase immunity foods that should be included in every child's daily diet
Turmeric: Turmeric is a perfect immunity-enhancing spice that should be used in your daily diet. Turmeric has an active ingredient called curcumin that makes it a strong antioxidant. A pinch of turmeric to the milk before bedtime can be really effective in building strong immunity.
Citrus fruits: Citrus fruits such as oranges, grapes, and mandarins are rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C is known to increase white blood cells that take the responsibility of building immunity for the body. Although it should be considered that our body can not store vitamin C, hence, it should be taken on a regular basis.
Dry fruits and Nuts: Children are often reluctant to take fruits and vegetables but are very friendly in taking crunchy nuts and dry fruits. Hence, incorporating them into their diet can be very beneficial. Nuts like walnuts, almonds, dates and dry fruits like raisins and anjeer are good sources of vitamins and antioxidants.
Mushrooms: According to the nutritionist Meher Rajput, mushrooms are filled with vitamin D and antioxidants that play a role in the building of immunity. To make it fun for them, place them in sandwiches, and spruce them with other seasonal vegetables. You can also give them a hot mushroom soup for slurp.
Dairy Products: Last but not the least, everyone must include dairy products like curd, milk, paneer, and cheese in adequate amounts for the proper functioning and development f child.
Above were a few essentials that a child must take in order to ensure a strong and healthy immune system. Having a strong immune system is one sign of being healthy and fit. One must take into consideration, how to maintain a healthy immune system by incorporating the above-mentioned foods in their child's diet.
