Editorials News | Jul-13-2020
CBSE declares it's class 12th results and 88.78% of students have passed the examination. The results have been uploaded on the official CBSE website. After a few papers were cancelled due to the pandemic, the board has followed its special marking scheme and declared the results.
According to the special marking scheme, students were to be marked on the basis of marks scored by students in other subjects plus the average marks in the cancelled papers. This marking scheme was introduced after a lot of parents and students demanded the cancellation of the papers of the subjects left as it was not safe for the students and the staff present. Thus, CBSE introduced this special marking scheme.
HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank tweeted and wished students luck for their results. Also, it was announced that CBSE will conduct optional improvement exams for the cancelled papers when the situation is conducive. Students who sit for the improvement exam, their result will be revised and the marks awarded in a subject in the improvement exam will be treated as final.
A great step by CBSE board as the students are now relieved. They can prepare for their further studies and not be stressed about the cancelled/postponed examinations and their results. The results are available on the official website of CBSE board CBSE results.nic.in. We hope all the students score well and come out with flying colours!
