Extinction Of Panda
Editorials News | Jul-28-2021
From being listed as endangered to being given the title of soon extinct, it didn’t take long. Pandas are amongst the few animals which will be extinct very soon, shortly. Thus, they are one of the most endangered species today. In simple language, endangered species are species of living organisms that are in severe danger and need to be properly protected to continue those types of organisms.
A recent study by The World Wildlife Fund read that only around 1,800 pandas are alive worldwide. The main reason why just like other endangered species pandas will soon get extinct is habitat loss. Due to the continuous and excessive need for fuels and wood, forests are highly disturbed and ruined. At the same time, our needs are increasing day by day. It is mainly because of the increase in population. Food is our basic need. Thus, several forests are cleared on regular basis to fulfill our agricultural needs.
Mostly all kinds of pandas are found in China. China is one of the countries whose population rate is very high and where the population grows very rapidly. Therefore, again because of humans animals like pandas are shifted to less livable places which become the main cause of their death.
Very few chances are still left to save pandas from extinction. It can be done by:
Preserving their major source of food, bamboo, and providing it to them.
Taking their injuries seriously and providing proper treatment.
Preserving their habitat and avoiding its clearing or digging for fuels.
Lastly, by spreading awareness about pandas and mainly panda conservation amongst tourists and visitors.
A ray of hope is there in every situation. Other endangered species like pandas also need protection. We can contribute to it indirectly by reducing global warming and pollution. Spreading awareness also plays a very important role in it. Posters, drawings, and slogans also play a vital role.
