
FC Basel To Invest 20m Euros in CCFC

I-League is becoming popular with time as the world leaders in football are citing Chennai City FC team as the best of I-League. So there is a news of Chennai FC that on 06/02/2019 the club has signed a deal with the tennis Champion Roger Federer home club Swiss champions FC Basel, which has taken care and supported Mohamed Salah the current Liverpool star, to sell the 26 per cent stake in the club and thus became the first football club of India to have a partnership with a foreign club.
The fascinated Swiss club was established in the year 1893, till present FC Basel team has 20 times achieved the Swiss national championship title and it had also qualified more number of times for the group stage matches of the UEFA Champions League in comparison to any other club that are located in Switzerland. The FC Basel has reached to the 16th Round in 2017-18 of the top competitions of European club. Both Chennai FC Basel President Bernhard Burgener and FC co-owner Rohit Ramesh had refused to think over the financial aspect of the merger but said the deal was only to focus on the co-operation for setting up a football schools across Tamil Nadu in Phase-1 and rolling out residential Youth Academy in Coimbatore. On the deal the owner we have merged to make this move, so that our fans get a world class football club. The important points of the deal refers to the transfer of skills and knowledge in all departments like sporting, legal areas and infrastructure so as to nurture CCFC to create its sustainable. After the deal the President of CCFC said that the deal is completely based on the mutual understanding and trust of the two groups and to keep and maintain the true identity of Chennai City Football club and its fans could correlate with it. As they desire that the Chennai City Club of football to improve the sustainability of the team as making it one of the best clubs in the country. What else can one expect from a top football club based in Europe with such a sport heritage and having a record of producing the best of its world class players. It will bring joys t our hard working players, coaches and the support staff as they can correlate them with the famous European club.
