For Better Performance, Limit Screen Time
Editorials News | Oct-03-2018
According to a survey published in the Lancet Child & Adolescent Health Journal told that the screen time for children up to the age of 11 should be below two hours. This will strengthen their mental ability.
Another study by BBC showed that with the lowering of screen time, a child should also sleep from nine to eleven hours. These both factors when combined together leads to improved performance. "Based on the findings, pediatricians, parents, educators, and policy makers should promote limiting recreational screen time and prioritizing healthy sleep routines throughout childhood and adolescence", said Dr. Jeremy Walsh at the children's hospital of eastern Ontario (CHEO) Research Institute in Canada. He further said that playing video games and watching educational programs helps in cognition. On the other hand long hours spent on mobile phones can be harmful.
