Importance of Warm up Before Doing Sport

What is basically a warm-up?
A warm-up is a session which always takes place and is done prior to before doing physical activity; usually a warm-up consists of light cardiovascular exercises that further combines with stretches.
What happens when we do a warm-up?
Mostly a warm-up session includes a combination of exercises related cardiovascular, stretching and strengthen drills. The cardiovascular exercises are further designed for increasing circulation, increasing body temperatures and for bringing the heart rate up, while also stretching warms our muscles and prepares them for the further movements that they will be further required for carrying out during this activity. Explosive strength exercises also include jumps or sprint drills, gently increasing the level of intensity and preparing our body for doing sudden movements in the game which will be followed; these specific exercises should only be particularly done once the muscles are hot and warm; this will prevent injuries.
Prevents injury
The most important reason behind doing a warm up is for preventing injury during exercise; keeping the muscles in warm condition will prevent acute injuries like hamstring strains and will stave off overuse injuries by enabling the body for preparing steadily and safely.
Thus we see that warm up is very important before doing any physical activity or sports.
