Is Paper Really Endangering The Environment?

In the past, paper was made by using old textiles and tree leaves. Both of them were crushed and ground. In the end, pulp was made from it. Paper was produced using this pulp. Paper production is not endangering to the environment as such because 75% of the paper is made from recycled paper along with sugarcane harvest, rice tudi etc. This data suggests that only 25% of paper production is done using pulp. The wood for this paper is harvested from authorised forests. Paper mills also also invest in lands and grow trees for the producing paper. Paper mills work towards planting a new tree for every tree cut for paper production.

As a thumb rule, for every tree cut we should plant two more trees. This will keep the oxygen circulation in the atmosphere protected. And will bring on Green Revolution 2.0 in India. Paper industry has been successful in meeting objectives of education by increasing the rate of literacy and generating employment. Many mills have also organised events that gives a chance to employees to experience a full working printing mill. Paper is way better for users and environment than digital communication.

There should be more awareness for the usage of paper as it is much more environmentally friendly. The production is also cost-effective. Busting the common myths can help those environment and economy equally.
