Albert Einstein said True art is characterized by an irresistible urge in the creative artist. While some inconceivable, lucky people are simply born with the treasure of artistic powers, while others have to study to become fluent in the way of art. Whichever path you are on, always remember that everyone is an artist. Some people just let their creative desires reflect out more easily and perfectly than others. If the artistic path is calling you, begin the journey with tiny steps and follow it.
Requirements of Artist Education
Formal education is basically not required for a fine artist, but many fine artists have just a bachelor's degree. In India, students generally select Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), or even some Bachelor of Science (BS) in Art degree programs at the bachelor's level. Bachelor's degree programs in art usually permits students to begin training in a particular media, such as sculpture, painting and drawing or photography.
Step 2: Artist Training
An Artist just needs to achieve experience and training in the desired field, primarily by creating art and continuing to try new techniques and practice their skills. However, some also got trained by experienced artists in the respective field to learn by attending education opportunities, such as workshops, classes, or lessons.
Step 3: Advanced Education
An advanced degree is not necessary to become a fine artist, but master's and doctoral degree programs are also available in the field to help further development of the skills. The mostly offered Master's degree programs are Master of Art (MA) or Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Art. These master's degree programs usually offer similar areas of concentration as a bachelor's degree program in art and help for the further develop of artistic skills.
Step 4: Advancement in the Field
Fine artists get advancement in the field by growing in reputation, which may lead to selling and/or displaying more pieces of their work to the public platform. Artists may also achieve this by creating a large range of works in a particular style, participating in art exhibits or galleries, and continuing to expand their portfolio.
